NATASHA + ERIK's playful beach engagement session

Natasha and Erik's engagement session at Cardiff State Beach was a beautiful reminder of the importance of capturing meaningful moments in a couple's love story. Erik grew up going to this beach, so it held a special place in his heart. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph this special location for their engagement session.

We opened our engagement session at Waverly’s restaurant and bar in Cardiff for a drink and a snack! If a couple wishes, I’m always happy to do more than one location for an engagement session to capture different angles to their love for each other!

The weather at the beach was cloudy and moody, but it made for some beautiful lighting and textures in the photos. As the sun began to set, the clouds turned pink and purple, adding a stunning backdrop to an already gorgeous love. Natasha and Erik were playful and adventurous, running all over the beach and playing tag in the shallow water. It was clear to me that movement was important to capturing their authentic connection, but we still made sure to pause and take quiet moments to watch the waves crash and capture intimate portraits as well.

The session was full of beautiful moments and emotions, and it was an honor to be a part of such a special day. Natasha and Erik were a joy to work with, and their love for each other was evident in every shot. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to capture this beautiful moment in their love story. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in 2024!
