SHONA + CHARLIE's adventurous coastal elopement with baby turtles

This was one of the most amazing elopments I’ve ever been a part of! Both native to Ireland, Shona + Charlie’s travels led them to the stunning coastal town of Puerto Escondido in Oaxaca, Mexico. They eloped on Playa Bacocho with their two closest friends, who came out for the elopement. They said their sweet vows among the palm trees, and exchanged simple wedding bands. After popping celebratory champagne with sparkles inside, they changed into suits (Shona’s “something blue” was her swimsuit!) and charged into the ocean.

They finished their sweet, intimate ceremony by releasing two baby sea turtles into the water at sunset. Then, we headed back to town to meet up with more friends they’d made on their world travels!

After a dinner with a surprise serenade from a local musician, they had their first dance in front of their friends and headed to Esmerelda’s, a local pool hall on the beach.

A day full of love, laughter, and special moments, this unique elopement was truly one for the books.
